9-Step Kick-butt Guide: How to Make Your 2018 New Year's Resolution and How to Make Them Stick Like Glue

2018 New Year's Resolution

2018's Top New Year's Resolutions

2018 is here and I bet, a lot of you already made a list of your New Year's resolution for this year. YouGov surveyed people online for their New Year's resolution. Of the sample tested, only 32% declined meaning most people still plan they goals for the next year.

On top of the survey results (drum roll please) are: Eat better, Exercise more, and Spend less money all tied at number one with 37% of the respondent.

Obviously, better health is the top priority again this year followed by surprisingly relationship-centric goals.

Live Life With No Regrets

live life with no regrets

We often take life for granted. We have so many distractions and preoccupations that we forget we are on a deadline. We know deep in our hearts that no amount of money or resources will add a single second to what is given us. Yet we spend much of our time and energy on accumulating wealth and prestige that in the end we still find ourselves regretting missing out on the best things in life.

3 Things to Pray For (Revisited)

I was looking for a good but free blogging platform to start my affiliate marketing initiatives when I realized that I already started one in Blogger.com. After logging in and scanning the articles I wrote, I can't help but have a feeling of nostalgia as I read the articles. One particular article caught my attention. It was a piece I wrote six years ago a month after I got married that I wanted to share with family and friends but never had the know-how until now.

2011

These past few weeks, we were bombarded with graphic images of public unrest in the Middle East and a natural disaster in Japan. These events definitely made us contemplate about the future and I won't be surprised if we find ourselves praying for the victims and survivors of these events. The world, for a few moments, was united in prayer.

Task Juggling

For the past few days, I have been a surrogate father to a dam, surrogate grandfather to a litter of 7, a consultant, a social media content manager, partial web developer, a son, a friend and a husband. I didn't know that juggling so much roles is possible but thank God I did it. It comes with a price though. Sleepless nights burning the midnight oil finishing tasks. Mad scramble in the kitchen to conjure a fast meal. Cleaned poop on puppies and some on the floor, washed dishes, rebuilt nesting box for dog and her litters. Read feasibility study, applied to strategic plan that I am drafting. By mid-day, I am already exhausted. Hit our firm bed in our fortunately cold bedroom and passed out.

Woke up revitalised, checked the pups, cooked dinner, continued reading and editing. Finally, to cap the day, wrote this for all to share.

The day after

I have been thinking all day about what to write for today. In fact, I fell asleep not once but twice just thinking of something worth writing for. Then by chance, I was tagged with a video in facebook that really caught my attention. The video was made by Tatay Tox and was awarded the most popular short film during the 2006 Berlin Film Festival. The video can be found here http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=101816953176556 (I can't find the codes to embed the video)

Maiden Blog

The first word is the most difficult. I find this true everytime I get to write a speech or a message or a memo. As a first time blogger, its quite a challenge how to start my maiden article or what to write about. Finally, I decided to go with the plain truth, I need to find myself.

38, newly married and currently unemployed, I can't help but feel powerless amidst the events affecting me. So with the last few self esteem I have left, I embark on a journey to rediscover myself and perhaps pursue the things I always wanted to do or try but was afraid of trying. These experiences I will share so that perhaps one day, when I get myself back on track, I will gain wisdom that I may share with my loved ones and friends and to you who may have stumbled upon my ramblings.

So wish me luck and I hope to get comments from you. Good night for now and God Bless.
